Xanthate Catalog:
As a collector, the selectivity of sodium ethyl xanthate is the most strong in xanthate line. It is widely used in the preferential flotation of fine flotability or complex sulfide minerals. It is also used in the flotation of copper, lead oxide ores in conjunction with vulcanizing agents. It is also used as precipitant in hydrometallurgical processes(eg. the refining of zinc electrolyte) and as sulfidation promoter of rubber. The collecting power of sodium isopropyl xanthate is a little stronger than that of ethyl xanthate. It is mainly used in the flotation of nonferrous metallic sulfide minerals as a collector. It is also used as precipitant in hydrometallurgical processes and as sulfidation promoter of rubber. Sodium (Potassium) butyl xanthate is a stronger collector. It is used in bulk flotation of various nonferrous metallic sulfide minerals. Sodium (Potassium) butyl xanthate is especially fit for the flotation of chalcopyrite, sphalerite and pyrite.Under the proper conditions, it can be used in the selective flotation of copper sulfide minerals from iron sulfide minerals and in the flotation of sphalerite after activation with copper sulphate. Sodium(Potassium) isobutyl xanthate is also a stronger collector in the flotation of various nonferrous metallic sulfide ores. Sodium(Potassium) isobutyl xanthate is mainly used in flotating copper, lead, zinc ect. sulfide ores. It has displayed especially effective in the flotation of copper ores and of pyrites in natural circuits. Potassium amyl xanthate is a strong collector. It is widely used in the flotation processes of nonferrous metallic minerals where a strong but a non-selective collector is desired. It is a good collector for the flotation of oxide minerals, eg.: oxidized sulfide, copper and lead ores. Copper-nickel sulfide and auriferous pyrite etc also require potassium amyl xanthate as flotation collector.
